EARLY BIRD PRICING – ENDS 15 October 2026

Reflective Practice Clinics

They didn't leave because your hands weren't good enough.

They left because they didn't feel understood. And you weren't taught that part

Three recorded clinics that change what happens in the room – so patients stay, trust you and refer a friend.

Built by a physiotherapist and a psychologist who’ve been in that room.

For allied health clinicians treating complex and chronic pain

You’ve finished your last patient.
You’re sitting in the car. Engine off.

Replaying a session with someone whose pain hasn’t shifted in months. Working out what you missed. With no one to ask.

By the time you get home you’ve packed it away. What would you say? “I have a successful practice, and I’m scared I can’t keep doing it?”

You’ve done the courses. You know the evidence. But in the room – when a patient flares and looks at you like you’ve failed them – instinct takes over and the evidence disappears.

This isn’t a knowledge problem. The gap is between what you know and what you do under pressure.

And the pressure comes from three directions at once.

Clinical.
The evidence says active care. The patient wants hands-on. So sometimes you revert – not because you don’t know better, but because it feels like the only way to keep them in the room.

Emotional.
You carry cases home and replay them. That isn’t reflecting, it’s ruminating – and you’re doing it alone. You’re the one in the room. No one else really understands what it takes. No one to say “here’s what I’d try” without judging what you did. Most clinicians have never had that.

Financial.
The one nobody says out loud. Do what the evidence says, the patient doesn’t rebook, and the clinic feels it. So decisions start serving the schedule, not the patient. And you know it.

What erodes you isn’t the workload.
It’s compromising what you know, one patient at a time.

What closes the gap is knowing what to do when it gets hard.

A way to read what’s happening in your hardest sessions: before you walk in, while you’re in the room, and after you walk out.

That’s what the Reflective Practice Clinics are.

Built by a physio and a psychologist who’ve sat where you’re sitting.

Three Clinics. Three Moments in One Consult.

Learn how to understand your own reasoning, read what the patient isn’t saying, and know what to say when the room tightens up.

Each clinic takes one of those moments and gives it a structure.
They stand alone, take one, use it this week. But together they stack into a different way of working.
Three moments, one deliberate practitioner.

CLINIC 1: THE MIRROR
Seeing your own reasoning – after the session.

Walk out of your next complex case knowing exactly what drove your decisions – and what to change before the pattern repeats.

The Mirror turns the lens on the one variable your training left out of the analysis: you. Using Observe · Interpret · Pivot (OIP), you unpack a stuck case after the session – what actually happened, what it says about your reasoning (not the patient’s pathology), and the one concrete change you’ll test next time.

Then the 3 Quick Question Check catches you mid-week, before the next consult, when pressure and certainty are quietly running the show.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to catch the righting reflex and the rescuing trap in your own practice
  • The OIP framework for any stuck case
  • The 3 Quick Question Check a 10-15 minute weekly reflection habit across your whole caseload.

You’ll be able to: name the pattern in your own reasoning that keeps repeating across cases and interrupt it on purpose instead of by accident.

Includes: Recorded clinic · The OIP Deep Dive · The 3 Quick Question Check · The Reflective Practice Log · CPD claimable

CLINIC 2: THE DECODER
Decoding the patient’s story – reading the yellow flags.

Stop misreading resistance. Learn to hear what the patient isn’t saying and know exactly what changes once you’ve heard it.

What looks like passivity, inconsistency or obstruction is usually protection. The Decoder trains you to detect the yellow flags hiding in the subjective exam – the beliefs, fears and expectations that block progress and to name which of five patterns is sitting in front of you.

Then it tells you precisely what to do differently for each one.

What you’ll learn:

  • The five patterns – the Catastrophiser, the Fear-Avoider, the Stoic, the Passive and the Critic. What you’ll hear from each, and what to prioritise.
  • How to use the validated measures without pathologising your patient – the Pain Catastrophising Scale, the Tampa Scale, and the Pain Self-Efficacy Questionnaire, with the exact words for introducing them.
  • Test – Retest – Reframe: how to build a positive learning experience inside the consult.
  • The therapeutic alliance moves that make honest disclosure possible in the first place.

You’ll be able to: name the pattern in front of you in the first consult – and know what changes in your approach because of it.

Includes: Recorded clinic · The Subtext Checklist – a workbook with the Seven-Step Subtext Check · the clinical cheat sheet · CPD claimable

CLINIC 3: THE PIVOT
Pivoting in real time – what to say when the room tightens up.

Know exactly what to say when a patient insists on the hands-on treatment they came for — and how to widen the plan without losing them.

This is where reflection becomes a real-time response. The Pivot gives you five moves for steering a complex consult before you reach for a technique – starting with the hardest one: don’t rush to rescue.

You don’t have to choose between honouring what the patient wants and broadening the plan. Hold both.

What you’ll learn:

  • The five moves, with the actual words to use: don’t rush to rescue · don’t dismiss the pain or the hands-on · slow the consult down · build understanding and trust · shift toward shared control.
  • Treatment Mapping: lay out the short, medium and long-term options together, anchored to the patient’s own goal.
  • How to spot what hooks you – urgency, the fear of disappointing, your own rescuing reflex – while it’s happening, not afterwards.

You’ll be able to: move a consult from doing-for to deciding-together, in the room, in real time.

Includes: Recorded clinic · The Reflective Practice Log · CPD claimable

Your CPD, documented as you go.

Every clinic is claimable as CPD. The real value, though, is ongoing: the worksheets and Reflective Practice Log capture everything an audit asks for the date, what you learned, and how you applied it. Built-in documentation, not a box-ticking exercise.

CPD is self-declared and requirements vary by board and over time confirm with your registering board.

Meet Your Trainers

Complex pain doesn’t sit inside one discipline.

These clinics come from a physiotherapist and a psychologist working the same cases together – the interdisciplinary practice The Chronic Pain Method is built on, not two professions in parallel.

Faraz Majlessi

Faraz Majlessi

Co-Creator & Clinical Content Lead, The Chronic Pain Method

Faraz built this framework because he lived the gap. Close to a decade of musculoskeletal and chronic pain practice taught him that knowing the evidence wasn’t the hard part applying it under pressure, in the room, with a patient who is losing hope, was. He has sat in that consult. He knows what it costs when you leave without an answer. The Reflective Practice Clinics are the structure he wished existed ten years ago.

Trevor Crowe

Registered Psychologist & Psychotherapist | 35+ years clinical experience

Trevor translates the psychology of what happens inside the clinical encounter – the resistance, the ruptures, the dynamics you can feel but can’t name – into tools a hands-on clinician can use on Monday morning. Not theory. Not jargon. Applicable skills that change what happens in the room. Because what looks like a clinical problem is often a psychological one – and the clinician who can read both is the clinician who gets unstuck.

The Reflective Practice Clinics are new

Built from frameworks refined across close to a decade of clinical practice and supervision.

Here’s who built this and why their approach works:

“I spent nearly a decade treating complex and chronic pain before I could name what was actually making it hard. It wasn’t the evidence – it was everything that happens between knowing the evidence and using it under pressure. That’s what these clinics teach.”

Faraz Majlessi
Physiotherapist & Co-Creator, The Chronic Pain Method

“Most clinicians I work with don’t lack clinical knowledge. They lack a structured space to process the psychological demands of the work – the resistance, the ruptures, the weight of sitting with someone else’s pain. In 35 years of clinical practice, I’ve never seen that gap addressed well for allied health. Until now.”

Dr Trevor Crowe
Registered Psychologist & Psychotherapist

There’s a national standard for this now.

In March 2026, the Faculty of Pain Medicine (ANZCA) – with Australian Government funding – published Australia’s first national standards for health practitioner pain management education.

Six standards. Written for every registered and self-regulated health professional working with people in pain.

Standard 4 is Reflective Practice. Not a bonus. Not an add-on. One of six national standards for quality pain education in Australia.

The standard says education must actively engage practitioners in reflective practice and self-awareness – the capacity to examine how your own beliefs, biases and responses shape what happens in the room.

That’s the gap the Reflective Practice Clinics were built to close. Before the standards named it, before the government funded it, Faraz and Trevor built the structure that addresses it.

The clinics are built around Standard 4 – and they address the standards on person-centred care, communication and evidence-based reasoning along the way.

Read the Australian Standards for Health Practitioner Pain Management Education

Become the practitioner who can hold the complex cases others refer on.

Not by working harder, but by finally having the structure.
Be one of the first working to the standard the profession just set.

This is for you if:

  • You’re an allied health clinician working with complex or chronic pain presentations
  • You’ve done the courses but still feel stuck when the session gets hard
  • You carry cases home and replay sessions without resolution
  • You’ve never had structured clinical supervision - or it’s been years
  • You want a framework for what to do in the room, not just more theory about what the research says
  • You’re tired of adding knowledge to a problem that isn’t about knowledge

This isn’t for you if:

  • You’re looking for another manual therapy technique or hands-on skill
  • You want a pain science refresher - this assumes you already know the evidence
  • You’re early in your career and haven’t started treating complex, persistent pain cases yet

The Car Park Guarantee

Remember the car park? The engine off, the replay, the silence?

Watch the clinics. Use the frameworks. If you don’t walk into your next complex case with a clearer method for what to do when it gets hard – or if the approach simply isn’t right for your practice – email us within 14 days. Full refund. No forms. No hard feelings.

We built this because we’ve sat in that car park too. We’re confident it changes what happens next.

The Patient Voice Clinic

The Unseen: What Practitioners Miss – with Amie Rule

Ever wondered what your patients think but never tell you? Now you’ll hear it – out loud, unfiltered, from the patient’s chair.

In The Patient Voice Clinic, a practitioner who has completed all three Reflective Practice clinics sits down with Amie Rule for an open conversation over a complex-pain case – what he saw, what he missed, and what the patient could see the whole time. Together they take the concepts from The Mirror out of the workbook and into the room

What you’ll take away:

  • What patients actually think – but never say to your face
  • Where a case read goes wrong, and how to catch it before trust walks out the door
  • What “progress” looks like from the patient’s chair – and why it’s sometimes just compliance
  • The Mirror’s tools applied live, to a conversation that hasn’t been cleaned up for the camera

Amie Rule has more than twenty years of lived experience of complex pain, chronic pain coach and published author. She’s been the patient in your room. Now she’s saying what that patient never did.

You could spend $250 on clinical supervision, $1500 on a weekend course or $3000 on a Uni unit.
Or you could do all 3 clinics for less than the cost of 1 hour of supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this live or recorded?

The clinics are recorded – watch anytime, anywhere, from any device. The Live Group Reflection Session (Complete Series bonus) is live via Zoom with limited spots.

Does this count for CPD?

Yes – each clinic is claimable as CPD. You’ll get worksheets and a Reflective Practice Log that double as your documentation.

CPD is self-declared and requirements vary by board, so confirm what applies to you with your registering board.

I've been in practice for 10+ years. Is this too basic?

No – it’s built for experienced clinicians. The longer you’ve been in practice without structured reflective space, the more relevant this is. These frameworks target the knowing-doing gap that grows with experience, not the knowledge gap that shrinks with it.

What's the difference between this and a pain science course?

Pain science courses teach you what the evidence says. These clinics teach you what to do when you can’t use it in the room. This isn’t about knowledge – it’s about the gap between knowledge and performance under pressure.

Do I need to buy all three clinics?

No. The complete series gives you all three moments in one consult — reflection becomes real-time response — plus both bundle-exclusive bonuses: the Patient Voice Clinic and the Live Group Reflection Session.

What is the Patient Voice Clinic?

A recorded session with Amie Rule – a person living with chronic pain who shares what clinicians get right, what they get wrong, and what patients wish you knew.

It reframes the therapeutic relationship from the other side. Available as a bundle bonus only.

What is the Group Reflection Session?

A live, small-group Zoom call facilitated by Faraz Majlessi. You can bring a real case you’re stuck on, or join as an observer. Sessions are deliberately small (10 spots) to allow genuine reflection.

Can I share my access with colleagues?

Access is for individual use. If your team or clinic wants group access, contact us – we offer team arrangements.

What if I bought an individual clinic and want to upgrade to the full series?

Absolutely. Just pay the difference between what you paid and the current series price, and you’ll get instant access to the remaining clinics plus both bundle-exclusive bonuses. Email us and we’ll sort it in minutes.

What happens after early bird pricing ends?

On October 16th 2026, pricing moves to $97 per individual clinic and $235 for the complete series. The early bird pricing is available at launch only and won’t be repeated.

Imagine walking into your next complex case with a framework – not just knowledge, but a method for what to do when the session gets hard.

That’s not a fantasy. That’s what structure gives you.

The fine print

Early bird pricing ends 15 October 2026.
From 16 October it’s $97 per Clinic and $235 for The Bundle.

The Reflective Practice Clinics won’t make the work easy.

Complex pain work is demanding – it always will be. But you’ll stop doing it alone, without a map, hoping the next course finally fixes something that was never about a course.

You asked how many more years of this?

The answer changes when you stop carrying it alone.

Try the one question that catches what other clinicians have missed.

Faraz Majlessi, senior physiotherapist at CPM, gives you the one question to ask yourself after a stuck session – the one that shows you what you’ve stopped seeing in a case you know too well.

It’s a three-minute video with a one-page tool to go with it, free and straight to your inbox.
